Section 8 Housing Assistance

At Copperbay, we proudly accept Section 8 and are happy to welcome everyone with the opportunity to rent with us. We believe in providing fair and equal housing access to all qualified applicants.

If you're applying with a Section 8 voucher, please note the following:

• Application Process:
  All adults (18 and over) must submit an individual application. When applying, please mention “Section 8” in the Reason for Leaving section of your application. Standard background and credit requirements still apply, and you can review these under the Copperbay tab on our website.
• Required Documentation:
  To fully process your application with Section 8, you’ll need to provide:
• A submitted 30-day notice to your current landlord
• A landlord packet from your housing authority
• A direct contact person at your housing authority
• Voucher and Income Requirements:
  The landlord packet must be approved by your housing authority, and it will also include the voucher amount.
• If your voucher covers the entire rent amount, income qualifications do not apply.
• If your voucher covers only part of the rent, you must show income of at least three times the remaining monthly amount in order to qualify.
