February 26, 2021

Purpose-built single-family rental homes are arriving in one of Michigan's most walkable neighborhoods.

If you've driven through downtown Grand Rapids lately, you may have noticed something new going up, CopperBay homes.

Grand Rapids has been in the middle of a renaissance for years now, with new restaurants, breweries, and local businesses transforming the downtown core into one of the most exciting places to live in West Michigan. What's been missing is new housing that keeps up with the demand — especially rental housing built to the same standard as what you'd find in the for-sale market.
That's what we set out to change.

CopperBay's downtown Grand Rapids homes are purpose-built single-family rentals in walkable, established neighborhoods close to the local bakeries, coffee shops, and parks that make Grand Rapids feel like Grand Rapids. Every home features modern floor plans, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and the kind of kitchen that makes cooking for friends feel effortless.

And because every CopperBay home is built pet-friendly from day one, your dog is welcome on that walk to the bakery too.
Like all CopperBay homes, these are professionally managed by our in-house team. If something needs attention, submit a request from your phone and we'll handle it so you can spend your time enjoying Grand Rapids instead of fixing things.

If you're looking to relocate to the Grand Rapids area or you're already here and ready for a home that matches the city's energy — take a look at what's available.

Downtown Three Rivers, Michigan streetscape with local businesses

In 2021, the City of Three Rivers partnered with CopperBay to bring something the area had been missing for a long time new, purpose-built single-family rental homes. The result is Garfield Park, a new neighborhood just north of downtown Three Rivers featuring a dozen CopperBay homes ranging from 1,400 to 2,200 square feet. Every home includes granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, attached garages, and its own yard features that were hard to find in a Three Rivers rental before CopperBay arrived. And like every CopperBay community, Garfield Park is pet-friendly from day one. For the City of Three Rivers, the partnership represents a $2.4 million investment in new housing stock at a time when quality rental options in the area were limited. For CopperBay, it's exactly the kind of community we set out to build purpose-built homes in places where families actually want to live. Garfield Park is now fully built and home to CopperBay residents. If you're interested in Three Rivers or the surrounding area, take a look at what's currently available.

Last night the City Council and Mayor of Muskegon approved the construction of 53 new construction rental homes in the location of the Farmer's Market to be built by Copper Bay. This will significantly change the downtown with a remarkable neighborhood of beautiful single family homes. At Copper Bay, we appreciate the city's remarkable commitment to growth.
